The pen has a snake like clip of 925 sterling silver with genuine rubies for the snake eyes. The end of the cap has the montblanc emblem in white against the deep dark color of the pen. A band at the bottom of the cap is inscribed with "montblanc, meisterstuck, and edition". The body of the pen has a see through resovoir window. Filling is through a twist plunger using a blind cap. The nib is medium gold with a silver head of a snake in the middle. This pen has never been inked.

The pen is hand crafted and modeled after a 1920 montblanc, the year the first agatha christie novel was published.
